Harry Osborn is depicted as a troubled and conflicted person. As the heir to Oscorp, he discovers that he has inherited a degenerative genetic disease from his father, Norman Osborn. Desperate to find a cure, Harry turns to Spider-Man for help. However, when Spider-Man refuses to provide him with his blood, believing it may be dangerous, Harry's anger and desperation lead him to transform into the villainous Green Goblin. Eventually he kills Spider-Man’s girlfriend Gwen Stacy and then he dies.
