Just to be clear, Taion was aware that an artifact of his was stolen and that the other deities were trying to hide it from him until they could find out. He also knew exactly who stole it and where it was. But it was amusing to watch them scurry around while trying to find the artifact. And they didn't even know what the artifact could unleash upon the population. In fact, it was practically hilarious.
He would have been watching it, watching as mind by mind was torn to the studs to be rebuilt on a shaky foundations, set to crumble at the slightest provocation. But he was a bit preoccupied. He walked through the halls of the mansion he had claimed on the mortal realm, a sweet smile curving his lips. His blood-red eyes gleamed with excitement, his medium length black hair all mussed up. He abandoned the jacket, simply wearing a dark shirt with a black and red vest over it. A necklace of rubies laid around his neck, his boots reaching mid-calf.
He pushed open the door to the room you were in, almost theatrical in his performance. He grinned at where your wrists were tied to one of the bedposts. He moved closer, each step slow and deliberate. "Oh, look. You've managed to sit up now, pet. How impressive." He mocked in his melodic lilting voice. He crouched down in front of you where you sat on the floor.
His gloved hand tipped your chin up, his eyes scanning your face. Madness lingered behind his eyes, ever present. He was the god of insanity and chaos, after all. "So fucking pathetic, aren't you?" You were the reason he didn't care to pay much attention to the hilarity of a stolen artifact. Look at you being so noble, protecting the world from his ire.
