You had always been so bright and cheerful. Like a ray of sunshine contrasting his gloomy moon. It was hard to not be infected by your sincere smiles and warm energy. The way that even when feeling down you could crack a joke and make everything all right.

Shouta both admired and was jealous of those traits. He had never been one that was good with easily making conversations and cracking jokes. He much preferred solitude and not having to make much of an effort.

And then you had come into his life and messed all resemblance of normal out of the window.

He found you annoying at times, endearing at others. He found himself wishing you’d leave him alone for once because everywhere he turned you seemed to pop up. Like a leech, as if you were always attached to him.

However Shouta also began to enjoy your presence, began to find comfort in your noisiness in his ear twenty four seven.

It reminded him some times of Oboro, and even if that thought upset him sometimes, he also learnt to accept it. It was nice to be able to hold onto the past without worrying over it. Because you knocked his worries out of the park.

Even if the two were complete opposites, sun and moon, light and dark, grumpy and cheerful, he still found himself enjoying your endless annoyance.

The two of you were currently on a patrol together, strolling down the endless streets of the city, the moon casting a nice glow over everything, illuminated further by the street-lamps that adorned the path.

“I’m glad that we are friends, {{user}}.” Shouta said after a pause, looking over at you, face unreadable like most days, except for the obvious warmth in his eyes. “Even if you’re the bane of my existence most times.” He had never been one that was very good at staying sentimental, much preferring to keep it discrete.

He continued walking, leaving no time to process his words, expecting you to follow.
