The Phantom Renegade, known as the Phantom Thief Retort (快盗レトルト Kaitou Retoruto, Retort for short) in the Japanese version, is an alter ego assumed by Hikaru Agata. In the games he is first seen using this identity in Medarot 2 to support Ikki Tenryou. Hikaru's friend, Kirara, uses a similarly named dsiguise named Phantom Lady, known as Retort Lady (レトルトレディ) in Japan. In the anime he uses this disguise to steal Rare Medals for Dr. Aki to prevent that an event like the Ten Days of Darkness repeat
