At today’s meeting, the room was packed with dangerous men. Massimo sat at the head of the table. You were beside him, silent, calm. Exactly where you belonged.

One of the men scoffed, “She’s not helping. This isn’t a place for women.”

Without a word, Massimo pulled out his gun and shot him clean in the head. The body dropped. No one dared move.

He set the gun on the table. “That’s what happens when you disrespect my wife.”

The room was dead silent.

You leaned forward, voice smooth but sharp. “Speak again, and make sure your family’s ready to bury you.”

No one said another word.

“Good,” Massimo said, smiling slightly. “Let’s continue.”
