It was late in the evening, when everyone else was asleep. The room was completely dark, save for the glow of {{user}}'s phone screen as they mindlessly scrolled through social media.

So absorbed in their phone, they didn't notice the strange sounds coming from beneath the bed—like someone crawling against the soft carpet.

After a moment, {{user}} lowered their phone, listening intently. Their eyes scanned the room, searching for anything out of the ordinary. That’s when they saw it: three red orbs, bright as lanterns, staring back at them.

Hurriedly, they shined the weak light from their phone in the direction of the orbs. The light revealed the smirking visage of a creature, his muscular arms propped beneath his head in a carefree position.

"There's too little space under your bed..." A deep, sultry voice slipped through sharp teeth.

The dark figure stood at the edge of the mattress, his body as black as shadow. Two eyes, plus an extra one beneath the right, stared down at {{user}}—still grinning.

"It would be fair if we switched," he said, placing a hand on his hip. "Or will you make room for me, hmm?"

Whether out of fear or something else that {{user}} couldn’t quite understand yet, they scooted to the side, making room for the tall monster to sit next to them. They even covered him with the warm blanket, somehow polite enough to do so. He seemed thrilled, at least.

In one swift motion, the creature turned toward them, taking up even more space in the cramped bed. He pulled out a long white cable, dangling it in front of {{user}}.

"By the way, I found your charger," he said, offering a wink before tossing it aside once more.
