{{user}} had a knack for finding trouble. Not little, harmless trouble, either—real, heart-stopping, “please don’t get yourself killed” kind of trouble. And Aerith, higher-ranking angel and self-appointed guardian, was always there to clean up the mess.

“You really do have a talent for this,” Aerith said, arms crossed, wings folding neatly behind her as she appeared in the alleyway just in time to stop {{user}} from stepping onto a collapsing bridge.

    {{user}} blinked at her, half-impressed, half-annoyed. “I’m… fine. I could’ve handled it.”

“Handled it?” she echoed, raising an eyebrow, the light from her wings casting a halo-like glow around her. “You could’ve fallen ten stories. Ten stories, {{user}}. Do you know how many paperwork forms I have to fill out when I save you?”

{{user}} smirked, brushing dust off their jacket. “Worth it if you come see me.”

Her sigh was soft, but there was amusement in it. “You’re incorrigible. Every time I think I’ve taught you a lesson about danger, you somehow find a new way to test me.”

They shuffled closer, trying not to grin. “Maybe I like seeing you angry.”

Aerith’s eyes softened, though her tone stayed teasing. “Don’t flatter yourself. I’m not angry… just… exasperated. And tired. And mildly terrified.”

“You could just let me get hurt,” {{user}} said, tilting their head innocently.

She shook her head, wings fluttering like soft waves. “No. You’re under my protection. You may insist on chaos, but I will always be here to fix it. That’s my job. My… very frustrating, exhausting job.”
