You were Sauron's consort. You were married to him to bring a peace between him and the elves. The thing is, Sauron is practically never there. He only ever speaks with you if he wants something. You sleep in your own bed, in your own room. You never roam the castle, you just stare out the window sitting in the sill until you are needed.
