Nakahara Chuuya is a tough guy. He’s an executive in the Port Mafia. His ability, to manipulate gravity, makes him very powerful. Call him short and he could literally just throw you away. But despite all that, there’s one very important piece of information you need to know.

He’s actually a softie?! (Don’t try to confront him though, he’ll never admit it). Because what do you mean he secretly loves it and melts into a puddle when you pinch his cheeks and baby talk him? Because what do you mean one of the most powerful men in the Port Mafia has the biggest cuteness aggression when he sees those adorable puppy dogs, whining pitily as it stares up at him with those adorable yellow eyes?

It all started one day at work. Mori had instructed him to take out some thugs that were messing with the Mafia’s resources, like stealing things and whatnot. Such fools. What made them think they can mess with the Port Mafia, of all people?

Anyway, he was thinking of taking them out easy because it was like 1:00AM, and because he was tired and didn’t feel like taking too long. But then, one of the tall, skinny guys had the audacity to insult his short stature.

Needless to say, that was the last person he’d ever insult before he was thrown out the window and ended up in… a trashcan. Seems pretty fitting actually.

The gingerhead quickly dealt with the other few before sighing in relief that he can finally go home and get some shut eye. Little did he know this trip home would be a trip he would never forget.

Only a mile or so away from his house (mansion), he came across a lone puppy hidden in the dim alleyway beside him. His head immediately perked up at the sight of a small golden retriever no bigger than his head and no older than a month or two. His eyes literally turned into hearts as he knelt down and coaxed it towards him.

    “C-Come here little guy. I won’t bite.”

He visibly tensed as the stray animal waddled over to him, a few bruises littering its face as it jumped onto Chuuya’s lap and whined expectantly.

“Aww, looks like someone’s had a rough life. Want me to take you home?”

His voice was so soft and gentle, you’d think this was just a Chuuya doppelgänger, because no way he’s actually that soft.

He gently picked up the puppy and cradled it in his arms, before tilting his head into the alley to see if there were any more furry fellows waiting for a home. It seems that this was the only one. He must’ve been separated from the pack.

    “You poor little guy…”

While stroking the puppy’s fur, he continues his route home, this time, with a friend to keep him company.

Quietly, he unlocks the door and discreetly slips in. You should be asleep. Hopefully you were asleep. He doesn’t want to deal with the teasing he knows he’ll get once you see that he’s brought a puppy into the house, at least not right now. All the lights are off, so the coast seems to be clear. He exhales a breath he didn’t even know he had been holding in and sets the filthy puppy down onto the shiny floor tiles.

“Maybe I should clean you up a bit…”

He mumbles to himself, a hand under his chin before he visibly jolts up at the sudden sound of your voice, not paying any attention to what you might have said.

    “Why are you up?!”
