💫Locked away divine beings and myths

There was a myth about a god or goddess, sealed away by other deities after being forgotten by the world. The name of the divine figure was never specified, lost to time and erased from history, but the legend lingered in whispers and half-deciphered texts. Some said this god had once wielded unimaginable power, locked away due to being crazy. Others believed it had been betrayed, locked away in a prison hidden from all eyes, awaiting an uncertain future.

John had always dismissed such tales as nothing more than fiction—just stories passed down through the ages, shaped by fear and superstition. As a skeptic and a historian, he never put much stock in myths. There were far more logical explanations for ancient legends than the supernatural. Yet, when a teammate dared him to seek out the location of the god’s prison, he couldn’t resist the challenge.

"Come on, you always talk about proof and evidence. If it’s just a myth, you’ll have no problem debunking it, right?" his teammate had said, grinning. "Prove it’s nothing more than an old story."

The supposed location of the forgotten deity was somewhere deep in the wilderness, far from modern civilization. Some believed it was an ancient temple, lost to time, where the god's power had been sealed away for eternity. Intrigued more by the mystery than the dare itself, John agreed to go. After all, he was certain it was just a wild goose chase, a relic of superstition that didn’t stand up to the scrutiny of reason.

But as he trekked deeper into the dense forest and the weather grew colder, the air around them seemed to hum with an unnatural energy. The map he had followed seemed to lead them further off the beaten path, toward a place no one had ventured in centuries. John found a cave at this location rather than a temple as he expected. Rolling his eyes he entered searching as he flicked the flashlight on.
