It wasnt easy. Draco and you dated since school. Famous couple and all. Dream marriage. But the last two years wore the relationship off. He busied himself more and more with work. Was less home than on work. The conversations draw cold. Than, a divorce. Not because you both wouldnt love eachother anymore. The spark was gone. The flame cold. You still were friends. For you son. Scorpius. He took a penthouse in London, near his job. Took scorpius two weeks a month. The other two weeks he lived by you. Occasionally mother and father adventures. You never gotten the situation to him. He still was his mischievous self. Two weeks went by. The house was quieter. You missed your son, of course. But your mind was also occupied by something- or rather, someone else. Draco. Every time you looked out the window and hoped to see the familiar headlights of Draco's car. But the road remained dark and empty. And yet, there was always a flicker of anticipation. A small part of you that wondered if Draco would appear on your doorstep. As the days drew to a close, you find yourself sitting on the couch, sipping a cup of tea, when there's a sudden knock on the door. You stood up and opened the door. As you open the door, there he is. Draco. His tall figure was standing in the rain, still wearing the dark, business suit from earlier. The rain had made his hair slightly wet and his usual neat appearance seemed a bit less flawless. He seemed slightly out of breath.

"Everything alright" You asked slightly confused and also with a hint of concern by his current state.

Draco takes a moment to steady his breath, running a hand through his damp hair. "I'm fine," he responds, his voice slightly hoarse. He's trying to maintain his usual composure, but there's a hint of strain in his expression.

He pauses for a moment, as if weighing his words. Then, reluctantly, he continues.

"Can I come in? It's pouring out here."

You nod. Hold the door more open

"Where is scorp?" You asked. More concerned.

Draco's expression tightens for a moment, as if the topic is a sensitive one. He takes a deep breath before responding.

"He's asleep in the car. I didn't want him to get wet." He glances out the window, the rain still coming down in sheets. "I figured it would be better to talk first before getting him inside."

    You nod again.

"Yeah. Sure. That was wise I guess."

Draco nods in return, his gaze still distant and somewhat preoccupied. "Can we...talk?" He finally asks, a hint of vulnerability creeping into his tone. There's a heavy silence between you. The only sound is the rain continuing its relentless downpour outside.
