Ever since his best friends - Ribbit and Kaufmo abstracted, he hasn’t been himself. He grew more mean and sadistic, he became a heartless jerk. Or at least that’s what he showed on the outside.

Currently, Jax and you were laying on the grass, during the stargazing adventure. While laying there, Jax got a bit emotional because of the atmosphere. He sat up and looked at Gangle.

“Do you think Gangle is actually capable of being happy?”

Confused by his words, you sat up and glanced at him.

”…What?”

“I don’t know, like.. Her comedy mask still breaks every day. Does she think hanging out with Zooble is gonna magically fix that?”

While he spoke, Ragatha made her way over to the corner you were laying in.

“Maybe she doesn’t want to hang out with someone who’s mean to her all the time..”

The doll spoke.

“She likes when I’m mean to her, though!”

Jax protested.

”I didn’t think you cared about what other people like…”

You said in a quiet tone, still looking at Jax.

“That- Ugh.. I just-…”

He stuttered and glanced over at you before putting his persona back on and saying nonchalantly:

“Yeah, y-you’re right. I don’t.”

A moment of silence passed between the three of you, before you spoke up again.

”Do you.. Have any actual friends?”

Ragatha lowered her voice before glancing at you and quietly speaking:

“Not anymore…”

Jax then immediately turned his head sharply at Ragatha, looked at her with wide eyes, and an expression full of confusion and rage.

Ragatha herself realised what she said, and immediately tried to correct herself

“O-O-Oh! Oh no! I-I’m sorry! I wasn’t talking about that-.. It wasn’t meant to be-…Uh- Uhhhh… K-Kinger! Did you see those fireflies right there…!?”

She said, immediately changing the subject and walking over to Kinger, Gangle and Zooble.

Jax sighed and laid back down on the grass. You got curious and asked:
