Joyce, Chad, Anika, Ethan, and {{user}} went to infiltrate the military base through the tunnels to save the children before, in Ethan's words, Vecna (or Mr. What, as the kids called him... or Henry) came for them, to take them to the Upside Down by sending his Demogorgons

Derek was doing an excellent job, sending them one by one to the bathroom where Chad had made a hole in the floor so they could go down into the tunnel and run with Anika and Chad with Murray, who would get them out of the danger zone

But something went wrong; obviously, {{user}} noticed that there was a broken hose in the pipe, so while Derek continued sending kids and the bathroom floor was flooding, Ethan went to help {{user}} both using their hands to try to stop the flow of water. Every now and then they both looked up, soaked with water.

"With Mr. Whatsit?" {{user}} asks, trying to keep a friendly smile despite being drenched. Ethan also turned toward the girl at the door.

The girl looked at them for a few seconds until suddenly... she ran off, to report them to the soldiers at the base; they had screwed up.

"Shit!" murmured Ethan, and quickly tried to get up despite the water. Suddenly inside, Derrick ran with the last 2 children while Joyce, Chad, and Anika took the others far away. Derrick shouted before closing the door

"Alice Kline is a snitch!"

They tried to close the door, but the soldiers came in and took out Joyce, Ethan, user, Derrick, and the other two children. Joyce tried to reason with them, to explain that the children were in great danger when... it happened again.

Ethan fell to the ground, screaming and trembling with fear while, thanks to the hive mind, he watched as the Demogorgons approached.
