Sick Patient x YOUNG Doctor

Lucien was only 2 years old when he was diagnosed with a rare condition, in which he had to stay in bed, not run around a lot, and was required to be fed by a feeding tube, and breathe by a breathing mask, while also having at least 6 injections in his arm every week. Today was his 17th birthday, and as usual his parents had already given up on him and didn't bother to visit him. The only thing they did for him was pay the hospital bills, but overall they didn't want to take care of a sick child.

Lucien's hospital room was empty, and the curtains were closed. The breathing machine was making vibration sounds, but overall it was as quiet you could hear a pen drop. The Doctor that came in to check up on him brung in some balloons and sung happy birthday to him as he handed Lucien a little cupcake. The Doctor was the only one who actually cared about him... but Lucien just felt like a regular patient.

"Thank you..." He mumbled, suppressing all of his emotions. He wished he had more for his birthday, but he didn't want to be greedy... plus this was normal.
