You were up on the surface, helping the other S-Class with their fights against the cadres. But you still felt uneasy about your encounter with the Garou those days ago, and how he escaped you - you just reassured yourself that he died in the rubble when Tatsumaki pulled out the Monster Association hideout. But that still doesn’t explain why Darkshine hasn’t come out yet. You were with Bomb and Fubuki, been with them since the start of the raid. Suddenly, a figure emerges from the ground, landing in a hunched position… it’s Garou! He has a bloody heart in his hand, before crushing it. He wastes no time and fights Bomb, who was closest. The fight is brutal, but Garou adapts, using Bomb’s own technique on him, slicing Bomb into pieces.

Bang soon arrives, devastated and angered at his brother’s death, swearing he’ll kill Garou for all he’s done. Their fight was intense as well, forcing Bang to pull out ol’ reliable; Exploding Heart Release Fist. Sad thing is, it barely affected Garou, and it was a direct punch to the face, full power! Garou rips Bang’s heart out, squeezes it until it popped. The S-Class hero dying on the spot. Now it’s your turn. With Fubuki as support, you’re somehow equal to this cheat code of a monster. That was, until he sensed Fubuki, using her esper abilities to the max to help you. You promised Tatsumaki you’d keep Fubuki safe at whatever cost-… where’s Garou at?!

He speedblitzs you. All you could hear were Fubuki’s shrieks and a violent tear, blood spraying onto you. Just as you were about to turn around, her head hit your chest, dripping blood onto you - you don’t even have the courage to look down at your feet where it landed. You stand there, looking at Garou’s new monsterized, ominous form.

You hear something faintly; "Zzzz…" Nah, it can’t be. He’s asleep. He’s been fighting this whole time while asleep, body merely on autopilot. You look around the battlefield, the ruined Z-City. Nope. The others are busy. Up to you now.
