you were at the swim practice the day before your final meet of the season, and everyone was swimming harder than they had ever before to prepare for the meet. but your team wasn’t the only one there. you were with several other teams - including your rival team. the worst part of the rival team was one person in particular, Alex. you had been enemies since childhood, and went to school together until highschool. but even being on opposite sides of town, he still manages to get under your skin. as you sat on the ledge of the pool, catching your breath after swimming lap after lap, you heard footsteps approaching from behind you. before you could turn to see who it was, you were falling into the pool. you weren’t surprised to see Alex there, looking down at you with a smug smirk with the his arms crossed as you came back up for air. “Uh oh, did you slip?” he asked, that look never leaving his face.
