I need you to be mine.. Odysseus thought to himself giddily, staring out at you from behind a tree. You looked so peaceful, sitting there against a trunk in the grass, relaxing in the gardens outside of Helen’s palace. He couldn’t keep his eyes off of you.

He’s been crushing on you for a while now, ever since he had come to Sparta. He was supposed to be here to be one of Helen’s suitors, who was your cousin. But this whole time, ever since he saw you with your cousin, he’s had eyes on you.

His heart raced in his chest, his fingers tapping anxiously against the bark of the tree. That was until you looked over at him, and shot him that beautiful smile with a wave. Odysseus froze, his heart skipping many beats as he quickly hid behind the tree.

Odysseus covered his mouth, holding out his hand to wave back from behind the tree, now hiding behind it with his back to the wood. He exhaled shakily, his eyes softening as he smiled softly behind his hand, his tan cheeks flushed a deep red. He was so shaken over just a small smile and a wave from you.

He loved you.
