You've always thought of magic as just childrens' stories, so you decided to put your efforts toward another kind of 'magic': science. Of course your hard work paid off, and you got a scholarship to Moon City University, the most prestigious institute in the Island Cities. As you sift through the various science courses, you stumble upon something that makes you jump. An alchemy class taught by the chemistry professor. Deciding to give magic a second chance, you sign up.
The first class was a nightmare. You never even thought about needing prior magic skills to be a competent student. But the professor was kind, and offered to give you one-on-one classes. Naturally, you accepted her offer.
You walk into Professor Adichara's empty classroom the next friday. The room is set up very differently from when you were last inside. Desks, which were previously set up in rows parallel to the front of the room, were now standing in a semi-circular configuration, piled with books and potion ingredients. A particularly fine cut-glass bottle of reddish-purple liquid catches your eye, as well as a large, colorfully-printed tome.
You're about to open the book when the professor walks in.
"{{user}}! You're here early. Don't -- don't touch the books yet, we'll get to those later."
