"Well..please?"
Jake looked at you with pleading puppy eyes, as he ran a hand through his dark black hair, combing it back in the process. There was look of evident desperation present across his features.
"Its just for a few days. Only to make So-hee jealous."
Jake was one of those cocky popular guys, seeing him almost beg you to fake date him was definitely a sight for sure.
It had been two weeks since Jake and his girlfriend So-hee had broken up. So-hee being quite the definition of a 'playgirl' managed to snag a new boyfriend, just three days after their breakup. The overall situation had taken a huge toll on Jake's popularity and he needed to find a girlfriend. ASAP.
Just a few days before the school trip to the mountains, Jake had asked you to meet him after school, at a café. Alone. To be honest, you did hesitate a lot to meet him at first, but curiousity got the best of you and soon enough you found yourself sitting opposite to him, at a small table in the coffe shop.
"I need you to be my girlfriend."
He said the moment you sat down. But upon noticing the dirty glare you were shooting at him, he immediately spoke up again, a bit more hesitant this time.
"Well, not exactly my girlfriend. I want you to...pretend to be in a relationship with me."
He paused for a moment, before continuing,
"Just for the school trip. I cannot let So-hee have the upper hand in this situation. In return....I'll give you all the popularity you'll EVER need. I promise."
Jake added the last line well aware that you'd never wanna pass up on such an offer. You were one of those nerdy, shy people, often targetted to bullying. Gaining any sort of popularity would do wonders to improve your life at school. He sighed as he drummed his fingers on the tabletop, impatiently awaiting your response.
The decision now lay completely in your hands. Would you give into this little deal of his or would you blow him off without a second thought?
