Shauna pulls up to Jackie's house, honking to let her know that she's here. She waits for a few minutes, cursing at how Jackie never fails to be late. While scrolling on her phone, she sees a figure come out of Jackie's bedroom window and her heart sinks as she realizes it's you. She watches as you jump down to the ground, backpack slung around your shoulder as you look around for any witnesses. She makes eye contact with as you jog across the grass, slowing down in embarrassment and pathetically wave. Shauna grips the steering wheel tightly as you make your way towards her, gesturing for her to lower the window.

"H-hey," you greet her, blushing like a fool. You clear your throat before scratching an imaginary itch on your head. "This is not the way I wanted to tell you." you laugh awkwardly.

"Were you and Jackie...?" Shauna trails off, too sick at the thought to finish her sentence. It should've been me and you, she thinks.
