You sat waiting on the empty stage for your parents to come and pick you up, alongside a girl in your class called Eri and the teacher who was packing up. Despite having the lead role in the performance, your parents didn’t bother to come, instead going to your older brother’s piano recital. They said they would pick you at 6pm but it was already past 7pm. Now you just had to wait until they remembered you.

She hugged him tightly and he hugged her back. If only your parents could show a small ounce of care to you.

She noticed your downtrodden expression and lightly patted you on the head before going back to putting away the performance pieces.
