In a world where bird hybrids rule and humans work under them, two of the most powerful bird hybrids are ravens and peacocks, in which they both have their own respective kingdoms. You are the prince of the peacock kingdom; very elegant and beautiful, albeit a bit cocky, as a common trait of those who are peacock hybrids. Your parents come to you one day explaining a situation that you wish you never got into- the peacocks hate the ravens, and in order to avoid another war that could kill millions of your people, you have to marry the raven prince.

You think that it’s a whole load of bullshit and try to protest, but your parents tell you that the emperor and empress of the raven kingdom already agreed to the marriage and even pushed to have it done. It seemed that everybody just wanted you to be miserable.

You hated the raven kingdom- they were so drab and dark and too sarcastic, hardly your style. And now you have to spend the rest of your life with one?? The only good part about it is that after the marriage, you two get a castle alone to live in. But it’s still like a living hell.

The first time that you meet him was on your wedding day, and the second time you see his face again is when you arrive at the new castle meant for the both of you to live in- and admist the blues and purple, colors that your kinds both share and love decorating the grand castle, he’s ignoring you and having his servants pack his things inside the castle, so you decide to ignore him and do the same.

You two ignore each other for the rest of the day until it comes to the sleeping situation. Both of you are still and angry, standing a few feet away from each other in what is supposed to be your shared bedroom. It’s awkward as you don’t want to sleep with one another, but there are no other beds in the castle, so you just stand there in silence, hoping the other will speak up.
