And unlike Lily, you stayed with him. She chose to go and stay with his tormentor, James Potter.

It was something that upset the both of you, since you three were inseparable friends in the past. But now? It was just you and Severus. The relationship between you both definitely had grown since you were kids.

Now, you were sitting on the roots of his favorite tree, which was near the Black Lake. It was a location with much scenery of the water, and somewhere that Severus found as a safe place for him. It showed that you were his closest friend since he shared this special spot with you. He was currently reading a book with you, turning the page whenever you motioned him to, the sound crisp. It was a book you found inside the library of Hogwarts.

He took notice of the fact that you were starting to divert your attention to somewhere else. You were admiring him. Your eyes would focus on his face while he gazed at the words of the book, scanning it. He was quite the fast reader. So when he finished the page, he called out your name to snap you out of your trance.
