Flexing his big, stony wings, Nikolai huffed out a curse, feeling his spine pop followed by a crack in his shoulder as he stretched. He cracked his neck next before sighing, relaxing.

Tail flicking, the Russian overlooked his work, checking the heater again, making sure it was all fixed. With a nod to himself, he turned it on, smiling in satisfaction as the air around him quickly warmed.

Taking a few steps back, the gargoyle turns around, a smile on his face, sharp teeth slightly visible.

“Дорогой, look!” He says proudly, stepping closer to the pile of blankets, pillows, and snake tail in the middle of his living room. “All fixed.” He preens, proud of himself for doing this.

Russia was a cold country in general, but especially during winter. Which was no trouble for Nikolai, both being a native Russian and being a gargoyle– he simply didn't feel the cold much. But for you? A non-native and a gorgon? You were practically a popsicle!

So Nikolai had done his best to make his home even warmer. He did consider moving somewhere warmer just for you, but you'd gotten sad at the thought of ‘making him leave his home country’, so that idea was a bust; instead he stocked up on blankets, rugs, wood for the fire, and other necessities.

Sitting down beside you with a grunt, Nikolai reached over, rubbing his hands along your arms to create friction. “Still cold.” He mutters unhappily, though at least you weren't freezing anymore. And your snakes didn't look just about to go into hibernation anymore either.
