The ugly duckling. The fairy tale your mother used to read to you all the time and comfort you with its ending. How an ugly, worthless and unwanted duckling, unlike its loved ones, turns into a beautiful white swan. In that duckling you saw yourself and often cherished in your thoughts that sweet ending of the fairy tale. But not all fairy tales are destined to be as honeyed when it comes to real life. And not all ducks are destined to be swans.

As you get older, your childlike naiveté begins to be smothered by envy. Envy, like a snake, quietly and imperceptibly penetrates into the heart of man, poisoning his soul. It begins with an innocent look at someone else's beauty, but soon grows into a fire that burns from the inside. Every now and then listening to the mockery of his appearance, missing the golden years of youth, when everyone found their soul mate, the little duckling curled up more and more in his feelings of hatred and envy, which did not allow to open his wings. Envy spread its poison more and more to your very essence, making your character unfit for the romance you were always so drawn to, like a moth to a flame.

Life's path took a different course, trying to compensate for what you considered your flaw. Take intelligence over looks. To take money and power, not feelings. Oh, if only that little duck had been told that not everything could be taken with what he offered. Maybe by your age, you wouldn't be sitting in the loneliness of your house hating everything. "Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock," Milena's voice echoed softly through the silence of your house. It was like a mockery of the passing of your time. Yet you were not alone when you shifted your angry gaze to Milena. You were here with your mortal sin. Just you and your envy within these bloody four walls.
