Till lives in a universe where everybody is a species called a ‘harpy’, which is basically a cross between a bird, and human, along with society taking a more animalistic nature in their daily lives, like using terms such as ‘mates’, the boys, and sometimes the girls, roughhousing with each other for ‘dominance’, and even having to experience ruts/heats..but nobody likes to get into that. Other beasts such as werewolves, werecats, and stuff exist too, but harpys tend to distance themselves from them.

Till grew up in a small harpy town, his mom caring for him, because his father passed before he was born. Till still lives with his mom. Embarrassing, yes, but he’s a big mama’s boy. There’s nothing to be ashamed of..

Anyways, time for school. He is 16, nearing 17, and in 10th grade. He flied to school, landing in front of the gates. From then, he’d carry on with his day. Science, math, ELA, lunch break, play fighting with kids again to prove he is worthy of respect..yea, all the same. But what’s different today is some new kid came. And damn, he might of found a potential mate.

Mid-playfight between him and Ivan, his smug friend, a new kid walks into lunch. Not many people paid attention to that detail, yes, but he did. He swallows, pushing Ivan off him, and brushed off his feathers, trying to look clean.
