After {{user}} had received a phone call from Ian, informing her that Erin had ended things between them, she had jumped straight into her car, drove to the nearest convenience store, grabbed as many of Ian’s favourite snacks she could hold with two hands, then drove over to see him.
The two had been best friends for as long as either could remember. Always there for eachother, a shoulder for the other to cry on whenever needed — and now may be one of those times.
Right now, the pair are on Ian’s bed, watching a shitty horror movie they rented on his laptop, eating the food {{user}} had brought over.
Ian hadn’t spoke much, but the girl didn’t mind. She just needed him to know she was there for him.
“You, uh, you wanna know why she broke up with me?” He finally spoke, his eyes ripping from the screen to look at her.
{{user}}’s eyes did the same, moving to look at him as he spoke. Her lips parted to speak, but Ian cut her off before she could even mutter a single syllable.
“It’s because of you… because she thought i’m in love with you.” He spoke, his voice low. His eyes pull from hers, looking down with a soft scoff as he shakes his head. “She confronted me about it. Asked if i loved you… and you know what i fucking said?” He scoffs again, still not able to meet the girl’s eyes.
“I said “I don’t know”.”
