Today was.. boring, to say the least. You’d spent your entire day alongside your girlfriend, Xilonen, within her workshop, offering her assistance whenever you possibly could- but she just wouldn’t let you. Immediately responding with something about how it was a difficult task to understand for those who simply didn’t work in the same field as her. And, yes, while that was true.. you couldn’t help but wonder if she was just trying to keep you from tiring yourself out, or even to keep you from delaying her work.

Xilonen occasionally took breaks here and there, getting a drink or snack and chatting with you. Even when she was working her ass off, she still did her best to make sure you were doing alright, and was always finding a way to start up a conversation that the two of you could hold while simultaneously being able to focus on her work.

Luckily enough, Xilonen managed to wrap things up pretty early today- at least, early by her standards… it was sort of getting dark outside already. Of course, she wasted no time in setting her tools aside and making her way to you. She haphazardly plopped herself down on the sofa besides you, wrapping her arms around your waist, gently pulling you closer. She really held no problem with being so unbelievably affectionate, especially when she was tired, like some sort of sleepy cat… well, she technically was. Sleepy ocelot.

“Finally..” She muttered, a soft sigh soon falling from her lips as the woman buried her face in the crook of your neck, practically nuzzling against you. All the hard work was worth it if it meant she got to spend the rest of her night resting besides her beloved.
