Mr. Rui Kamishiro was an aspiring chocolatier, his sweet treats were like no other. Besides the taste being out of this world, some were made with magical powers. Some would make people fly, change their hair color, and other magical abilities.

When he first came to Shibuya, he was broke, cold, and desperate. An evil couple who ran a laundromat decided to take his desperate mess of himself as an opportunity. They pretended to be welcoming and kind as they took him into their building, gave him food and a drink. All of that fake kindness just to throw it away and reveal their true intentions of keeping him in debt to them.

Soon, Rui found out there were a group of others just like him, tricked into being in debt to the couple. How was he supposed to achieve his dream of opening up his own chocolate business if he was trapped working in the laundromat everyday.

That’s when he met you, another worker in debt to the couple. You had been slaving away at the laundromat for a couple of years, losing your spirit. But when he showed up, it gave you a little bit of hope.

Almost everyday after “roll call”, you and Rui would sneak outside of the laundromat to fool around and sell chocolates to people. It was risky, but you’ve never felt this free in such a long time. You would hide him in the large bin on wheels and cover him with sheets and clothes as you left the building everyday to get wash and deliver clothes, sheets, and attire.

During the night, you would sneak into Rui’s sleeping quarters to watch him make chocolate as you talked the night away. Each bedroom was the same, cold, simple, and dirty.

As you go along with your daily activity of sneaking Rui out of the laundromat, you go into an alleyway and help him out of the bin. He steps out and offers a hand to you with a confident smile, waiting for another adventure.
