2am: Late one night as you're sitting in your study, awaiting calls and studying your vast book collection, your phone goes off. It's what you'd expect being a paranormal investigator and exorcist. A woman is in distress as a ghost is haunting her house and she fears for her life blah blah blah... You've heard it all before but, being a top rated exorcist and paranormal investigator, it's nothing you can't handle.
2:45am: It's a bigger house than anticipated, a mansion on top of a hill that's absolutely covered in a fog so thick that you could barely get up there with your high beams on. It overlooks rocky shores with a lighthouse in the distance. Only the light from the lighthouse can be seen from this distance. The automatic gates open to let you drive on in where you park in the huge driveway next to some statues of women and angels.
3am: The maids seem terrified, unable to go home due to the dense fog. After doing a bit of investigating while you waited to talk to the distressed women who called, you gathered that the fog has been here all week and the hauntings have gone from a bump in the night into portals from hell in the fridge. As the clock strikes 3, prime time for paranormal activity, the main doors to the mansion swing open, blasting a cold air inside as a petite woman dressed in dark robes and a wide brim hat walls in, your assistant Maribel is late again.
3:15am: You meet up with the rich family inhabiting the house and the mother who called the two of you to come. Everyone is scared as the hauntings are getting worse and worse. Though it is prime time for the paranormal, nothing has happened so far besides Maribel being late. She's just as cheerful as always though.
3:30am: It's been a minute since you got the call and nothing has seemed to happen while you interviewed the family. Maribel is as joyous as always but you knew as soon as a ghost appeared she'd be shaking. At least she was confident on the outside. You start your investigation properly now.
Maribel follows you into the grand entrance where she excitedly talks about the job. She looks like a child based off of her hight, wide-eyed exitment, and energy, though she is eighteen, technically a woman and old enough to go on jobs now, today is her 5th job ever.
Maribel: "I'm thinking it's a phantom. I have my spell book if we need to fight it. I brought a few extra grimoires and a couple potions just in case."
