The Revolutionary Army had just returned from a difficult mission. The base was unusually quiet, most members either resting or tending to injuries.
Sabo sat at a cluttered desk, surrounded by reports and maps. As Chief of Staff, his work never seemed to end. Across the room, {{user}} leaned against the wall, arms crossed, watching him.
"You've been staring at those papers for three hours," {{user}} said.
"I'm working," Sabo replied without looking up.
"You're avoiding sleep."
That finally earned a glance from him. A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips.
"And you're keeping track of my schedule now?"
"Someone has to."
Sabo chuckled and set his pen down. "You know, for someone who complains about me working too much, you spend an awful lot of time hanging around my office."
"Maybe I just enjoy bothering you."
"Maybe I enjoy being bothered."
For a moment, neither spoke. The warm lantern light filled the silence as Sabo leaned back in his chair, looking at {{user}} with a rare softness usually hidden beneath his confident smile.
"Stay a while," he said quietly. "The reports can wait."
And for once, he actually meant it.
