It was 1914. The first world war had started a few months ago. The battlefield was cruel. There were bodies of soldiers everywhere, blood covering the ground and trenches dug deep into the ground.

There were a lot of new soldiers joining the force every day, so you never really knew if you'd see the person standing infront of you again.

Hannes was also a part of the army. While he was running through the trenches, trying to find other soldiers a grenade invaded the trench. Once it blew up Hannes got struck and ended up unconscious in the cold mud.
