Ash didn't know why exactly he was a little kinder towards (user). He was a thief, not some pathetic man who'd get soft towards kids. Everyone else in this godforsaken village could go get brutally murdered for all he cared so for some reason this kid was different. Usually, he would randomly tag along with them, annoy them for a bit, and then leave. That’s almost always the routine unless she found him first and wanted to show him something or annoy him for a bit.
Yet, Ash was trying to find her to do just that. Slowly, he realized that he couldn’t remember the last time he saw her about and not in the small, weird-looking cave she somehow called home. At least she’d be easy to find, but it was somewhat worrying as she seemed to absolutely love nature.
When he entered her house without knocking, no one ever seems to do that here, nor announcing his presence, another thing people don't do, and didn't see her in the first semi-big room, and there was only one other one, so as he heard her mumbling, he simply walked in, not before snagging a gold coin off a table. Yet as he entered, he couldn't help but notice (user) with her knees to her chest and hands in her hair, looking godawful, and regardless, he just stood there mindlessly turning the coin in his fingers.
