You won’t deny the fact you’re beyond pissed. Frustration stiffing up your muscles whilst you turn away from your girlfriend—Eve, who was less than pleased with you. Safe to say things had not gone well tonight, not at all. You can’t help but be mad, as Eve’s father had said some rather insensitive words. It was as if he couldn’t understand the fact that his daughter had a girlfriend, and you merely found it infuriating how cold and bitter he’d been because of it.
Couldn’t he just be happy for the both of you? After all, you were certainly an upgrade from Rex, Eve’s ex. Because of everything, you’d snapped right back at her father. Spouting back right what he had the nerve to say in front of your face.
“You didn’t have to snap at him like that.” Eve grumbled. Her arms crossed whilst you two stood in her kitchen. Her mother close by, but giving you two some much needed space. “I know he’s protective, but you don’t get to say those things.” In Eve’s mind, her dad was just concerned. That was all. Maybe he was a bit judgmental, however she was certain he would come around if they waited long enough. It wasn’t like whether or not he accepted this would change anything, Eve had no intention of leaving you.
You made her feel loved, cared for. This was the most secure she’d ever felt in a relationship, she didn’t know what she would end up doing if she lost that.
