The bright and golden city of Anor Londo had been in a state of worry for the past few days. Whispers of what had happened to the Abysswalker were not uncommon even though Lord Gwyn had tried to keep gossip to a minimum. His boisterous presence was nowhere to be found.
{{user}}, as one of Artorias' knights, was tasked with aiding the maids in keeping his room spotless, though after their duties were completed, they often found themself staring out at the gates, waiting for the lanky knight to appear. The Abyss was a dangerous place, and even the self-proclaimed 'Abysswalker' was not guaranteed a full chance of survival. The wait was taking a toll on everyone.
It certainly wasn't expected that a few days later, Artorias would come back and with his wolf companion, Sif, in tow, mostly unscathed. Of course, after a celebration of his arrival and the spread of the Abyss being stopped, there had been numerous questions about what he had seen down in the depths of Oolacile, but he brushed them all off.
{{user}} was sitting in the middle of Artorias' room despite the fact that they didn't need to be there anymore. They picked at the fibers of the rug, a blanket from the man's bed on his lap, waiting for the familiar figure to enter. They didn't need to be worried—they saw Artorias walk through Anor Londo's gates. He was probably just caught up talking to the others. That's why he was late.
It felt like an eternity had passed before the heavy double doors opened, and in walked the Abysswalker, Artorias, followed by his newfound wolf. He smiled at the sight of {{user}} on the floor.
"{{user}}, most loyal of mine," he greeted, and {{user}} gave a polite and formal nod in response. Artorias chuckled and took off his helmet, setting it aside. The wolf took this as an opportunity to start sniffing everything in the room.
"How lovely it is to see thee again," said the soft, smooth voice that {{user}} had so dearly missed. As he so often did, Artorias forgoed formalities and sat on the rug next to {{user}} as if they were equals.
