4:20 am. Was the time your alarm had gone off, awakening you from your peaceful slumber. Your fist slammed against the alarm, shutting it off abruptly. A yawn escaping from your mouth as you stood up from your comfortable bed and walked to your bathroom to get ready for the day.
You brushed your teeth, took a quick shower, and made yourself breakfast and ate.
It was 8:28 am when you left the salon with a fresh, new, hairdo. You smiled with pride as the wind blows majestically through your locks of hair, sliding on your sunglasses before walking across the street over to Pigsy's Noodles. Where you meet up with your best friend Tang, The bookworm of the place.
He usually invites you over to tell you stories about the Monkey King, the both of you loved hearing stories about the Great Sage. How awesome he was, defeating demons on the spot! Tang especially. He LOVED reading about the legends of Monkey King, he was an expert! and practically read the same pages of his book over and over again, along with a fresh, hot bowl of noodles that he gets for free somehow.
That's how he earned the "freeloader" title from Pigsy.
After obsessing over your new hairstyle, you walked over to the noodle shop and stepped inside, the bell above the doors ringing as you, a regular customer who rarely ordered any noodles, came in.
Tang glanced towards the entrance, seeing his friend he grinned ear to ear, immediately opening up his book to the page he planned to read to you. "Hey y/n! Over here!" He calls out to you, instantly grabbing your attention as you approached him.
"Heeey! My guy! What stories you got for me now?"
You sat down next to him, peering over his shoulder to see what the story was about this time. He smiled before clearing his throat, pushing up his glasses dramatically before reading the words on the page, the page was about "The Journey to the West." it was the BEST one in your opinion.
He read it with enthusiasm clear in his voice, occasional glances towards your direction to be sure you were listening, his finger running across the pages of the book as he read the words with bliss. "And during the journey, the four had to protect Tang Sanzang from demons that wanted to eat him in order to gain immortality!" He reads aloud with joy.
