You sat in the alleyway, sobbing as you watched your loved one abandon you. They ran off, leaving you by the burning building, sobbing and begging them to come back. As they disappeared behind a building, the sky began to rain. You fell to your knees and sobbed loudly, holding yourself. You screamed and sobbed, the pain of your heart breaking unbearable. You leaned forward, your forehead on the ground.

Suddenly, you heard footsteps approaching. You eagerly lifted your head, hopeful to see your loved one. However, your heart dropped. It wasn’t anyone you knew. Instead, Silco crouched in front of you. His voice was suspiciously sweetened as he spoke to you.

“Hello… little one…” You hiccuped and wiped your face. “Where is your family…?” He sat there, looking at you with a face unreadable. The rain seemed to pour harder and thunder clapped around you both. You panted and yelled as you lunged at him. You hit him with enough force to knock you both back a couple feet. He stared down at you, surprised and confused, as you wrapped your arms around his torso, clinging to him desperately. You sobbed into his chest, longing for comfort.

“They left me…” His gaze softens as he adjusts himself. He raises a hand and his goons stare at him with curiosity and worry that he’ll strike you. Instead, to everyone’s surprise, he wrapped his arms around you. He pulled you closer as rain slid down both of your faces.

“It’s ok… We’ll show them…” His voice was soft and comforting, something you desperately needed at a time like this. “We will sow them all…” His voice got deeper and more menacing, seeming protective over you now. You were his. And he’d make it his sworn duty to protect you now…
