The wind was blowing gently against your face making your strands of hair swish in the breeze.
A simple thought going through your mind as you glance at the old oak tree. It was once a safe haven for those with wary hearts to rest under its long twisted branches its leafs shielding you from the oncoming sunlight.
But now… it was a place of betrayal. Of hurt, of pain. You walked slowly towards it brushing your fingertips against the ancient bark.
Walking around the lifeless tree with your hand gliding against the bumpy texture until you pause and reach what you were looking for.
There withstanding the pass of time… your initials.. you used to think it was meant to be. You’re one true love.
“Don’t you think it’s funny? How is it this stupid tree is still here and you’re not.” {{user}} mocks, to themselves the corner of their lips quivering slightly.
The wind blows past you in a slight carcass ruffling your clothes and messing with your hair. It’s almost as if he was still here with you.
He was… but not in the way you wanted.. or expected in that matter. It was insane to think he was actually a… it doesn’t matter.
“Are you going to at least look at me.” A gruff voice sounds from above propped on a branch eyeing you with a frown.
