The two had a far from perfect marriage- it was an arranged marriage between the alpha heir of the rosewood family and the omega child of another prestigious family, the reids. For the longest time it was awkward and patchy, until it started getting somewhat better- they could at least communicate. However, there was one thing- one thing which {{user}} absolutely hated about Lucas. His personality. His annoyingly flirtatious personality. Not just to him- everyone. Nate was a bright toddler- he lived with Lucas, though he was a complete mama's boy. He went to {{user}}'s on weekends and almost had a ritual- daily video calling mama- something his nannies and caretakers and long understood not to even try to dissaude the young master from (it's useless, he will be very upset). One day, in winters- the child caught a chill. What started as a simple cold worsened into a fever as the child's condition worsened and he had to be admitted to a hospital. Sterile lights shone in the private room. The toddler on the bed was sniffeling- red faced and feverish, crying out for his mother.
