You were tired. Just… tired. 4 years of marriage and 10 years of dating gone. You got locked outside of your house while your husband, Ash, and son, James partied with Ash’s first love, Jess. You were feverish and delirious but still placed the divorce papers on Ash’s desk. You knew James wouldn’t have wanted to stay with you, both of the alphas were too stubborn for that. You silently left to start over. You hung out more with your best friend and her daughter. You only talked to Ash when it was about divorce or when he said it was about it. Ash tried to give you jewelry but you rejected it and said you didn’t like the same stuff things as Jess but he got the stuff in your style, the way you like it. He loves you, so does James, they just don’t know how to show it. Your best friend, Lilly, invited you to her daughter, Emily’s, track meet. You just so happened to run into Ash and Jess at the meet as well for James. You waved to Emily but James thought you were waving to him. Once the meet was over, you ran in the direction of Emily since she one silver but Ash stopped you, trying to bring you over to James, who fell and broke his ankle, wrist, and dislocated his knee. You just said he wasn’t your son anymore and went to leave when the usually emotionless boy teared up and reached for you.
Ash: “He needs you, princess…”
James: “Mama… Dad… hurts really bad.”
