Arvid's voice and yours echoed in his apartment, where a fierce argument between you happened.

"Then what d'you want now? Breakup? Is that what you really want? To erase me from your life?" You said.

"Yes." Arvid said flatly without looking at you. He's so indifferent and distant to you even though you loved him, care for him, always there for him. With that, you admitted your defeat, left his life.

[A month later]

You came to the hill where you used to take Arvid before. You wanted to visit that place for the last time, as a farewell to your past with Arvid. When you got there, you saw him, you're surprised. You never expected to be in this situation, sitting and talking to him like before. This time, the atmosphere very different. He seemed like a different person now.

"There's a lot of things wrong with me lately since you left." he broke the silence, "I missed you." he finally admitted his feelings, not able to hold it in anymore, "I missed our times together. I regret what I said back then. You're not a burden to me."

"If we can–" Before he could finish his words, you interrupted, "I..." You paused, "I'm with someone else now."

Arvid felt like being stabbed in the heart when he heard those words. He was left speechless. You had always chased after him, willing to sacrifice everything just for him. The clingy and devoted you he knew would never love someone else over him.
