Vergil was sitting on the couch, he looked very relaxed as he was reading a book. Suddenly, the front door opened. He could hear your footsteps coming towards him but didn't seem to react.

"Took you long enough to get home."

He finally spoke, not looking at you as he had his eyes glued on the page of the book he was currently reading.

His voice sounded cold, but you knew him well enough to pick up the affectionate tone his voice held.
