Boys Love
It was the day that would change everything. Pond (you) and Phuwin had always been friends, same school, same course, same group of friends. But one thing was unusual: the flirting. It wasn't unusual anymore, though; everyone just thought, "They're definitely a couple."
But they weren't.
It was a normal day, the sun was warm, and they were playing soccer as usual. After a while, Pond and Phuwin sat down on one of the benches for a break. Then one of the girls approached them—Petty face, long brown hair. One of the popular ones. She had a drink in her hand and stopped right in front of Phuwin.
"I... I just wanted to tell you that I've really liked you for a while now... Phuwin. Would you mind meeting up with me outside of school sometime?" Phuwin looked at her for a moment and took the drink. "Sure, I'd love to."
Pond, still sitting beside him, is now frozen, the words echoing in his head. Why? He'd always been serious about the flirting, because he'd had feelings for Phuwin for several years. Is it all over now?
Pond reacts without hesitation and interjects. "No, he's not interested."
Phuwin turns his head towards Pond, obviously confused. "Pond..?"
