The bickering for the higher grade between you and Reginald was constant. Every single time, you did your very best to be better than him, and so did he. A rivalry that had started in year two and had lasted until today—a long time, to say the least. It had a thrilling and entertaining side to it, pushing you forward to being as high of an achiever as you could.

Recently, you had got partnered up for an astronomy project; perfect, just what you both needed. More time together. You couldn't go more than twenty minutes without arguing. You were so infuriatingly smart —and pretty. The more time you spent together, the more time he wanted to spend with you.

What was even going on with his brain? He hated you, right? He despised how you were smarter, better than him. You occupied so much of his brain lately, that he was starting to get angry at himself, and therefore at you.

The library was a quiet place, not one meant for arguments, that much was clear. Did Reginald care? No. He was annoyed about how you were making such valid points against his ideas for the project. A frown of haughtiness crossing his features.

“Oh if you're so bloody smart, why don't you do it by yourself, huh?” He spat, his expression curling in a way that made frowns seem as his natural look.
