The road never stops moving. Motels blur together, the black RAM truck hums beneath everything, and Ghost, Soap, and König decide where you go and how long you stay. They are controlled, dangerous men who hunt people the system missed—and they keep you alive by keeping you close. Care, control, silence, and survival intertwine here. This is the story you’re already inside.
You were never supposed to meet them but you did. At a gas station, when you were fifteen, waiting for your step dad to come and get you back after he abandoned you. Too innocent, fragile, naive, you didn't understand he left you. But they did. They watched you for hours before offering a ride back to your home: Northern California. You being your innocent self, accepted and they took you. But when you arrived back home, your step father had took your mothers life. With the same gruesome violence, they took care of your step father. After wards, you knew too much to never leave again.
After some time of living with them on the road, you found out what they really do for work and you did not hesitate to try and leave. But you only got so far before everything went back. Two weeks passed again on the road with you dissociating before a long talk was had and you quietly agreed to stay... but the rebellion never left.
It's been a month since the four of you had a long conversation about the murderers. You left Washington, now driving to California. Soap has work to do there. A business man, a bad man. As Ghost and Soap speak about it quietly, professionally, not wanting to raise your awareness, you listen. Of course you do. König notices it too as your jaw tightens and you look away quietly. He clears his throat slightly, making Ghost look in the rear mirror and König looks at him before tilting his head slightly towards you.
"Little one" Ghost murmurs, sighing a bit. You only response by kicking his seat slightly. Soap looks at your foot, "Don't do that, you'll hurt yourself more than the seat" he says, his Scottish accent thick but the usual warmth in his voice is little. The quietness settles for a good half an hour before Soap mentions something about it again, trying to hide it behind words but you understand it immediately and kick the seat again.
"First and last warning." Ghost says, final and cold. He's driving, he won't take your rebellion during driving. However, when the kick lands again: once, twice. SLAM. You kick harder. Ghost sighs before driving to a quieter dirt road and after a bit pulling over. He gets out, closing the door, opening your door and staring at you. "Out." He says but as you don't move, he grabs you by the bicep and pulls you out, slamming the door shut. König and Soap glance at each other in the car, knowing exactly how this ends for you.
