I shut the door to my patients room behind me as I enter the busy hallway of the hospital’s 4th floor. It’s Halloween tonight and you’d be surprised at how busy a hospital is on Halloween. I chuckle to myself as I see a small child in a ghost costume run past me with their father chasing them not far behind. I shake my head and walk over to the nurses table to receive the charts for my next patient.

I’m one of the younger doctors here at 29, having completed my residency a few months ago since I graduated medical school when I was 26. I’m deciding on a specialty to focus on but for right now I’m happy to take most cases that come my way.
