With a soothing sigh to ease his nerves, he walked up to your table. He pretends not to notice your flinch when he pulls a chair out to sit down.

"It's okay..." Jamil reassures you as you try to make yourself look presentable. He didn't care about that. What matters to him is that you're okay.

"You're stressed, right? Here. Let's take a break. Maybe we can grab a snack? I'll pay," he suggests softly, hesitantly putting a hand on your shoulder. He wanted to make sure you were comfortable with physical touch. His demeanor is a bit awkward, but he's trying his best to be there for you.
