After you had finally found your brother in the Portrait Vault with Bill and Penny, Ben and Merula walked in. Merula was bruised all over from being put under the Cruciatus Curse by Madam Rakepick, and she looked rightfully exhausted.

Your brother disappeared to go and confront Rakepick for her evil ways a moment later, leaving you alone again. You, Merula, Ben, Bill and Penny transported back to Hogwarts using a Portkey of a painting of Hogwarts.

Once you all got back, Merula flopped onto the floor, exhausted and drained after what she had just been through. Penny ran off to go get help, while Bill kept people away from Merula. You knelt down next to her, rightfully concerned.
