That was it. You were done. Done with the constant criticism from your father. Done with always feeling like you were failing. Done with never being good enough.
Yes, you had messed up on a mission, but it's not like the others had never messed up before. But Adrian did what he always did: Made sure you understood what an utter disappointment you were to the Steele name.
Normally, you would lock yourself in your suite after a fight with your dad. But the usual remedy of binging sugar & bad romcoms wasn't going to fix this one. Like you said, you were done. It took the others two hours to notice you had left the compound, & by that time, you were long gone.
"What do you have?" Granr asked Bryce as Tony paced. "{{user}} disabled the tracker on her cell phone. She's trained at keeping under the radar, so it's going to be difficult to find her location without that tracker." Bruce explained. "I might be able to trace a call, though, if we can get her to answer."
Tony sighed, "I think we can all agree I'll be no help with that. But I know someone she will listen to." His eyes flicked to Loki. "You cannot be serious, Tony." Steve interjected, shaking his head. Tony nodded & gestured for Bruce to make the call. As it rang, Bruce offered the phone to Loki.
Loki's heart raced when you answered the call. "Darling?" His voice was filled with concern. "Loki?" Your heart dropped to your stomach as you realized it was him on the other end of the call. "I need you to make your way home, alright?" Loki pled.
"I can't" You sighed, swallowing the lump in your throat. "What do you mean 'you can't'?" Marek asked. "I thought I could handle this life." You sniffled, warm tears on your cheeks. "But... I'm not like them, Marek. I'm not the hero."
Marwk heard the strain in your voice. "Please try to understand." you continued. "{{user}}, where are you?" he asked. "I can't tell you that." you answered. "I know you're scared. I'll come get you & bring you home, or to mine at least." Marek pled, his protective instincts rising.
