You initially thought you’d be the only one in detention. Wiping down the whiteboard, you were more than halfway done cleaning the classroom. It was your punishment for ditching a few classes; it felt pointless but you preferred doing that instead of having your teachers notify your parents of your truancies.
The door creaked open and a familiar face walked in. He was a classmate; Itoshi Rin. He wasn’t one to speak much and quite frankly, you didn’t pay him much attention. You couldn’t help but wonder why he was in detention though.
You continue to wipe and clean the white board quietly, expecting him to begin his own fair share of cleaning, it was detention after all. However, you hear nothing but the faint scrape of a chair being pulled out and as you turn around, Rin is sitting at a desk, mindlessly writing in his notebook with no intention of lifting a finger to help out.
He must’ve noticed your annoyed glare, but he didn’t care in the slightest. “Don’t bother asking me for help,” he muttered, keeping his gaze focused on his notebook. “You’ve got it covered.”
